LJV Management Services principal owner is Lisa J. Vogler. Lisa has an extensive background and experience in commercial construction, as the co-owner of a licensed commercial construction company, with daily responsibility for management and oversight for projects of various size and scope. Further, this experience is complimented by Lisa's legal expertise and over thirty (30) years of practicing law.

The skill set and hands-on experience of the joint effort with Hooker DeJong and Granger Construction in the completion of a very successful project in 2017, the Wexford County Sheriff's Department and Jail.

Why hire an Owner's Representative?

There are many reasons why a municipal project may benefit from the services of an Owner's Representative. The checks and balances necessary to protect the expenditure of public funds cannot be over emphasized. 

The success of a construction project can be greatly enhanced by having consistent input and supervision by key individuals from the initial design and plan development state through the final inspections and opening of a facility. Open discussions and constant communication between owner, architect and contractor are critical to the overall success of any municipal construction project. Often times, the lack of communication and the absence of one individual, who has the historical information and perspective to "troubleshoot" the problems and facilitate disputes, can lead to escalating construction costs and delays in completion of the project. 

It is foreseeable with every large commercial construction project that there will be a multi­dimensional need for active participation of an Owner's Representative, which will include the review of bid documents, general contractor or construction management quotes and the applicable vendor/contractor insurances mandated by municipal insurers, such as MMRMA. Competent and complete adherence to construction terms and provisions intended to protect the municipalities' taxpayers must be monitored by the owner, including close scrutiny of any change orders.
